Considering that I care about what Parker says as little as I do about James Suckling, I found the 2007 to be a fine wine - neither overly muted nor jammy, Flomax For Sale. I didn't pick up any over-the-top oak influences, although the notes of vanilla did present themselves in the 2007, and slight toastiness was obvious in one of the 2009 single blocks (2A).

• 2009 Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard Block 5A, Eisele clone
  Barrel sample -- Francoise's favorite, a real beauty loaded with goodness. Flomax For Sale, Inky dark, gorgeous nose of espresso meets mocha meets red rose. Almost Barolo-like heady nose. On the palate, chocolate covered cherries, nougat, chocolate marshmallow. Dessert in a glass, yet totally dry and refreshing. (95 pts.)


• 2009 Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard Block 5D, Spottswoode clone

  Barrel sample -- Spottswoode clone seemed more subdued than the Eisele clone blocks, with tighter -- but still nice -- palate. Francoise gets Christmas baking spices, plum, etc. I agree. The chocolatey goodness is there but more restrained. Nice. (90 pts.)
